House Portraits: Seeing Double
An end of summer double commission came my way that I am excited to share. What started out as a painting of a friend's home, turned into a double painting of a sister home. Sister home as in it's sisters that love in the same neighborhood!
Wedding Map
This summer, I helped make wedding dreams come true! The Inviting Place contacted me about a client who had always dreamed about having a watercolor map as part of her invitation suite. Of course, I said “Yes, let’s paint something amazing”!
The process includes the client sending me reference photos of the items to be painted and either an address or a sketch of the roads and water to be incorporated.

July 2021 Review
July was another busy month (I say that all the time, don’t I?), filled with people portraits, house portraits, personal projects, and prints. I hope everyone was able to enjoy some summer relaxation time in whatever for that takes for you. Fireworks and staying up late is how the month kicked off, and I may be in a bit of denial about August happening, still trying to squeeze in all my July projects.

As Seen On Etsy
Never in a thousand years did I think that etsy would see my work and want to share one of my process videos on the etsy Facebook page! What a dream come true! What started as a comment asking permission, a few days passed and then I started getting dozens of favorites, messages, and a few sales (limited by the number of commissions I can complete at a time).
June 2021 Review
The Scout Guide Tulsa Map, NOUN Hotel art, watercolor house portraits, new Semi-Custom Crest Builder illustrations.

New Illustrations! Semi Custom-Crest Builder
Etsy shoppers love my Semi-Custom Crest Builder! You all are constantly following, favoriting, and purchasing this item. I get lots of messages too, such as, “love this, but I want to also incorporate X”.
I hear your requests and have answered with THREE new categories of illustrations! Introducing: Buildings, Baby, and Animal watercolor paintings for you to add to your crest!
NOUN Hotel Project
NOUN Hotel in Norman, OK contacted me about painting art for their hotel rooms and I said YES without hesitating.
I painted 10 pages of 13 unique Oklahoma themed illustrations.
May 2021 Review
House portraits, secret project, map announcement, blog posts summary, and an expanding copic face collection, all in one post!
Blue and White Ginger Jars
Themed sets that fit perfectly with your decor style is my goal. I started with the timeless blue and white jars and vases that will instantly add sophistication to any space.
They’d be great incorporated into a gallery wall, hanged stacked on a skinny wall, or throughout your home bringing the theme to multiple rooms.

April 2021 Review
April was my biggest month yet in terms of scale of projects. I finished my largest sized commission and started the largest quantity project. Plus some house and pet portraits as well!

March 2021 Review
You all kept me busy in March 2021. A year after the start of the pandemic, you all are still celebrating life and milestones and dreaming of big projects, and I’m so glad you’ve asked me to play a part in capturing your lives through art! Carlton Landing; Custom Crest; House Portraits; Couple Portraits
Couple Portraits
Do you paint people?
YES!
Painting people is difficult! Everything has to be exactly in the right spot and the shading and highlights need to be the right shades to make sure the likeness of the person is as accurate as possible. With a building or a pet, you can have a window or a spot off by a few inches and no one will notice, but with people… people are different.
Tiny details, like a freckle, laugh line, the way the corner of their mouths turn with a smile, are the difference between “I guess that looks like them” and “Wow, you captured them perfectly!”.
Carlton Landing Map
I was thrilled when local Graceful Blooms flower truck and local Tulsa flower subscription service reached out to me about creating some art for the business' website, social media, and merchandise for its pop up shops!
Have you heard of Carlton Landing? It’s a new developing town on Lake Eufaula south of Tulsa and east of OKC and, while I’ve not yet been, I researched the town and local activities and attractions with Graceful Blooms to find the must haves that would look best on an illustrated map.
