July 2021 Review

July was another busy month (I say that all the time, don’t I?), filled with people portraits, house portraits, personal projects, and prints. I hope everyone was able to enjoy some summer relaxation time in whatever for that takes for you. Fireworks and staying up late is how the month kicked off, and I may be in a bit of denial about August happening, still trying to squeeze in all my July projects.

People Portraits

July 2021 seemed to be the comeback month of engagements and wedding planning. It was so fun getting to paint happy engagement portraits and be a fashion illustrator creating models for wedding attire.

House Portraits

A house commission turned double! This sweet friend had me paint two portraits of these sister homes. If you look closely in the window, you can also see a little surprise peeking out!

As Seen on Etsy

Did you see my 15 minutes of fame? The one and only etsy shared a process video of mine on their Facebook! It was such a nice shoutout to my shop and my hand painted house portraits! Welcome to all my new friends that came over after seeing that post. I am not currently on Facebook, but you can follow my Instagram to see more process videos and see what kinds of projects I’m working on.

Visit this blog post to find the link to the video and read how star struck I am about etsy calling my work “gorgeous” *Heart Eye Emoji*

Fruit Prints

Most of my work is custom, but every once in a while, I’ll paint something that is a perfect fit to become a print or digital download. This month, I painted a still life set of tangerines and plums. These two separate prints are available in my etsy shop as digital downloads for you to print and frame at home and add instantly to your home decor. To read more about these pieces, check out this blog post. Still life is becoming the new “it” art for your kitchen, bar, laundry, and more. The originals are happily framed in my home. I’d love to see how you decorate with yours!
