Who has seen still life paintings make a comeback in design trends?

I have been eyeing these to incorporate into my own home, and whenever that happens, I just paint my own pieces!

These little pieces posed a problem for me because still life is traditionally done with oils or acrylic. Thick mediums for deep saturation of colors are common.

But I’m a watercolor artist! An experiment to mix deep moody colors with dark shadows is how these little studies started and they turned out so well!

I placed them in some thrifted frames and am currently looking for the best place to put them. They could look so good in so many places: kitchen, bar, bathroom, laundry, and so on!
