Process:
You provide a high resolution, well lit photo of the subject to be painted (please NO selfies).
The portrait will be done with high quality watercolor paints and multiliner pens on thick watercolor paper.
The turnaround time of 3 weeks to complete the painting begins after the artist receives the reference photo and any specific instructions (color swaps from photo, personal item placement, etc). First, you'll receive a black and white sketch to review before painting. Then, the artist will send you the original painting to give as a gift or proudly display.
To ensure likeness is as accurate as possible, you will first receive a sketch of your portrait to review and approve. Once approved, the portrait will be drawn directly from the approved sketch and brought to life with watercolor paints. Any changes that would impact the ink drawn lines already approved would result in a redraw fee as the portrait would need to be restarted. Likeness improves with larger portrait sizes and higher quality reference photos.
Terms:
Please do not duplicate the piece without artist consent. Please do not use the painting for commercial use. The artist reserves the copyright of the piece and the right to business use (website, social media, examples to show other clients). Don't worry, custom pieces of private property and personal likeness will not be labeled, identified, or reproduced for others to purchase (unless you want me to make prints of your piece for family and friends).
