Wedding Invitation - Pippin Hills

A gorgeous Virginia winery as a wedding venue calls for gorgeous wedding invitation art.

When I saw the image of the wedding venue (Pippin Hills), with the rows of hydrangea bushes and saw the couple’s vision for the invitation, I was excited to get started.

Just look at the florals on that crest. While the paintings are primarily painted with watercolor, I did pull in a little bit of white acrylic paint to add the solid pops of white for the hydrangeas. The thickness of the application can give transparency or bold brightness. The hydrangeas on the crest are so round and fluffy! They look like they could pop off the page.
