Spring Bulb Collection

I love spring in Tulsa.

My first visit to Tulsa, many years ago, was Easter weekend. I remember driving up Riverside and seeing the daffodils blooming in the medians, the big bright red bud trees and huge blooms on the tulip trees, and I could never forget the way Tulsa looks in Tulip season (you know how south Texans take pictures in the bluebonnet fields? Tulsans do that in the tulips).

Inspired by the season, I painted some of my favorite bulbs: Crocus, Daffodil, Tulip, and Iris. To make these paintings more special, I hand tore the paper with a dainty edge.
