Painting Party: Dutch the Lion 2024

What happens when you get 20 pre-teens and a local Tulsa artist together for a couple hours of painting? A creative and fun afternoon!

As part of the 2024 Holland Hall Gezellig Auction, I offered a painting party for 20 kids to learn to paint Holland Hall’s mascot, Dutch the Lion!

Each kid created their own unique piece. We learned about drawing shapes, using stencils, working in layers, color mixing, different paint brushes, and how to embellish Dutch to make sure he looked great! Each Dutch turned out different and looked so great!

The parents of the kids kept saying “I didn’t know painting parties were a thing!” and were brainstorming away at different birthday party ideas for their families.
