February 2024 - Monthly Review
While January felt like the longest month, I think February was just about as long. Maybe it was the cold. Maybe it was the lifetime’s worth of news in the short 28 days. I don’t know, but I’m glad that we’ve made our way out of the winter and into March. I am only thinking of sunshine, butterflies, and blooms now, but will pause to look back at last month’s projects.
I hosted a giveaway with Main Street Floral on Instagram! I created a brand new digital line illustrations of a venue for the winner! See the post for the new venue illustration and more details about the giveaway and how amazing Main Street Floral is in Duncan, OK.
Speaking of new venue illustrations, did you see the my Mayo Stained Glass pattern? I made a roundup post with all my Mayo Wedding paintings and illustrations that I’ve made over the years. Weddings at the Mayo are always so timeless and elegant!
After the holidays’ engagement season, we are in the thick of planning season! Lots of parties are coming up later this spring and summer. The theme for February’s event illustrations are animals: a horse, the Oklahoma state bird, and a dapper gator ready to party. Can’t wait to see what The Inviting Place does to incorporate these fun personal details. We’re even planning ahead to those fall weddings too. I was pleased to work with Chirps and Cheers in OKC to create some landscape watercolors for a Colorado wedding and, let me just say, WOW! Can’t wait to share more!
I became a Savvy Tulsan! Those zero degree days were too cold to play in the snow, so what did I do when I was stuck inside? I took the SavvyTulsa course and became a certified Savvy Tulsan! Learned some new things and can’t wait for what’s coming because the Visit Tulsa tourism group is ready to put Tulsa on the map! Although, I already made a Tulsa map!
Over on Instagram, I’ve been sharing a few more Christmas 2024 gifts, plus a lot of venue illustrations! If you know someone getting married or throwing a shower or having a birthday, send them my way because I can help them create the perfect piece of art for their invites!
