Real Wedding: Venue Illustration Bella Donna
Illustrating the wedding venue Bella Donna for a custom wedding invitation suite was such a wonderful project. When I was approached to create this illustration, I knew I had the opportunity to capture not just a beautiful building, but also the essence of the special day that couple envisioned.
The venue, with its elegantly manicured garden beds and bell tower, is a romantic venue designed special for weddings and events. It’s located just outside of Tulsa, in Catoosa, Oklahoma. The chapel has large windows behind the altar, overlooking the lovely woods.
As a digital illustration, I paid close attention to the venue’s exterior while capturing its intricate architectural details. The couple requested that the illustration be done in a medium warm grey to match the rest of the font color in their monochromatic custom wedding invitation suite. A beautiful choice for this early winter wedding.
I love the inclusion of an event venue in the envelope liner. This element acts like a surprise for the guests. When they open their invitations, the guests get a visual glimpse anticipation for the celebration to come.
When I saw the final suite together—the invitation paired with the my illustration of Bella Donna in the liner—it was a proud moment. The inclusion of my art was a personalized touch that would tie the couple's love story back to a place that holds special significance for them and their families. The compilation and design by the Inviting Place was elegantly flawless, as always.
Creating this illustration was a celebration of love, and I am always honored to play a part in each couple’s journey. The illustration is available for licensing for future couples’ Bella Donna weddings. Learn more about licensing or reach out about custom wedding invitation art.
