September 2023 - Monthly Review
When Nicole Allen Events asked for custom illustrations outlining the love story of their couple, of course I said, “yes”! The trick to these illustrations was that they needed to be transfer friendly! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know I have become a cricut user (finally I think I can call myself proficient in at least what I need to use it for) and have made quite a few stencils and transfers, so I was ready! The illustrations were used to decorate the seating chart wall.
Tulsa’s big 918 Day brought a new illustration! As a cricut experiement, I created the Tulsa Skyline Flag print. Layers of Tulsa nested inside the bold and iconic Tulsa Flag. It’s a great new addition to my Tulsa themed art.
Speaking of shopping for prints and swag, I officially launched my Spoonflower & Zazzle shops this month!
Spoonflower includes all of my patterns that can be ordered as fabric or wallpaper! Zazzle includes more paper goods including wrapping paper! Check out the blog post to see more.
This September, I hosted my first ever Pet Portrait Special (aka sale) and refund giveaway. As you can imagine, I painted a lot of pets. I’m finishing up those paintings and will have to share them in 2024, because some are secret Christmas presents. Thank you for sharing this fun offer with your friends and family. I have loved painting all your 4 legged friends!
September often marks the start of the holiday order season. As a custom artist, your hand painted pieces often take up to 3 weeks to complete. It is best to get in touch about your project as early as possible. Custom watercolor orders will not be accepted after November 10, 2023 and will return in 2024.
November 1st will be the official reveal of the Christmas Shop! I’ll be introducing my new Tulsa Christmas art and you won’t want to miss it! There is a teaser on the home page because it’s too good to keep a secret!
