Feb 2021 Review

February is a short month, but was full of projects in the studio!

After January’s launch of the Semi-Custom Crest Builder, I have enjoyed creating amazing custom crests for of families, anniversaries, babies, and individuals! Crests are available for purchase in my etsy shop.

February is Black History Month, and a perfect time to add some additional Black owned Tulsa businesses to my #iwanttogototheretulsa collection. Businesses included Elmer’s BBQ, Frios, Fulton Street 918, Silhouette Sneakers & Art, Poppi’s Urban Spa, and the Mother Road Market’s Limited Time Only (MRM LTO) market.

Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of the month as it always does and what a wonderful time to paint portraits of couples in love! So fun painting smiling faces and recent engagements and weddings from 2020 and early 2021 in the middle of the most difficult year(s) of our generation. More details about watercolor portraits are on my listings on my etsy page.

On the blog, I broke down the Things to Consider Before Ordering Custom Art, detailed the difference between watercolor, marker, and digital art so you could see the difference between 2 pieces, and shared some super cute watercolor dog portraits.

Another thing that happened in the middle of February was the wild snow storm where we were trapped inside for a week because of the dangerous single digit temperature and almost foot of snow!

A few more custom projects are on the list that I’m working through and will share soon! Some sneak peeks of the projects I’m working on can be found on my instagram page and in my stories, so be sure to follow along to see the beautiful and fun pieces I’m working on as we move into March!
