Process

You provide a high resolution photo of the subject to be painted and select two colors for the watermarked background. Alexa will provide an initial ink drawing for your review and feedback. Before any colors are placed on paper, the artist will work with you to make sure all the details are right: eye color, any adjustments from the original photo, etc. If you have any questions, please ask as this will ensure you are happy with your painting.

The portrait will be done with high quality watercolor paints and waterproof multi-liner pens on thick watercolor paper. I can also do marker art, so if you prefer Copic markers on thick illustration paper, please let the artist know.

Alexa will send you the original painting to give as a gift or proudly display. Please do not use the painting for commercial use or distribute physical or digital. The artist reserves the right to use the image for promotional use and on her website and social media. If it's a surprise for an Instagram follower, please let Alexa know so the surprise isn't spoiled!

Please allow up to three weeks from the placement of an order for painting time and shipping. If your deadline is shorter than three weeks, please reach out to Alexa prior to making a purchase to see if the accelerated timeline for your piece can be accommodated.
